We believe in music, not for its own sake, but as a process through which musicians and listeners can engage with and participate in the issues and struggles we confront as a nation on a daily basis. We believe music, as an art, is not and cannot be isolated from the integral struggles of the people, its audience.
Musika Publiko Bikol in partnership with Tabang Komunidad, Rawitdawit BCL, and with the participation of Kaniguan will be holding its first Jam for Peace at the Komentarista Cafe, Mayon Avenue, Naga City.
Kajovenan is composed by Musika Publiko Bikol’s Kiko Arañas and bagged second place and the most relevant song composition award in the 2017 Naga City Youth Council Tinta asin Tono songwriting competition. Kiko also received the best Naguenyouth composer award.
